DAY 1: ARRIVAL TIRANA - DURRËS
Arrival at Tirana airport; drive to Durrës. Visit to the Archaeological Museum, the amphitheatre and city tour. Overnight stay in Durrës.
DAY 2: DURRËS - BERAT - ARDENICA - APOLLONIA - VLORË
In Berat, visit the castle and selected monuments in the old town centre. Continue to Ardenica, visit the monastery. Then to Apollonia, where we visit the excavations and the museum. Overnight stay in Vlorë.
DAY 3: VLORË - KANINË - BYLLIS - BALLSH - VLORË
Drive from Vlorë to Kaninë, visit the impressive castle. Continue to Byllis, visit the site. Drive to Ballsh, excavations, then return to Vlorë. Walk through the city centre. Overnight stay in Vlorë.
DAY 4: VLORË - AMANTIA - BUTRINT - SARANDË
Drive to Butrint, one of the most beautiful archaeological sites in the country, via the excavations of Amantia. Then drive to Sarandë, visit the uncovered remains of a synagogue, a rare testimony to early Judaism in Albania. Overnight stay in Sarandë.
DAY 5: SARANDË - PHOINIKE - MESOPOTAM - GJIROKASTËR
In Sarandë, visit the pilgrimage shrine "40 Saints". Afterwards, drive to Phoinike, one of the largest archaeological parks in the country, and to Mesopotam, a monastery complex from the 13th century. The day's destination is Gjirokastër, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; walk through the old town and visit the mighty fortress. Overnight stay in Gjirokastër.
DAY 6: GJIROKASTËR - ANTIGONEA - VOSKOPOJË - KORÇA
Drive from Gjirokastër to the archaeological park of Antigonea, then continue to Korça. On the way a visit to the town of Voskopojë with its impressive churches. Continue to Korça, the city of beer, with the opportunity to take a walk through the city. Overnight stay in Korça.
DAY 7: KORÇA - SEVETI NAUM - MICHOV GRAD - OHRID - POGRADEC
From Korça, the route leads to North Macedonia. Visit the monastery of Sveti Naum, continue to Michov Grad (pile-dwelling settlement) and finally to Ohrid, the ancient Lychnidos (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Drive to Pogradec (AL). Overnight stay in Pogradec.
DAY 8: POGRADEC - SELCE E POSHTMË - ELBASAN (SCAMPA) - SHELCAN - PETRELË - DURRËS
Drive from Pogradec to Selce e Poshtmë, visit the "Illyrian royal tombs", then continue to Elbasan, visit the impressive fortifications. Afterwards, we return to Durrës with a stopover in Shelcan (St Nicholas with Onofries) and the castle in Petrelë. Overnight stay in Durrës.
DAY 9: DURRËS - TIRANA - DURRËS
Drive to Tirana. Visit to the National Historical Museum and the Archaeological Museum followed by a city tour. Return to Durrës for a relaxed wine tasting. Overnight stay in Durrës
DAY 10: DURRËS - KRUJË - SHKODËR - LEHZË - DURRËS
Drive to Krujë with its fortress and bazaar. Continue to Shokdër with the fortress. Drive to Lehzë, visit to the fortress Rozafa and the lower town. Overnight stay in Durrës.
DAY 11: Transfer to Tirana airport
After breakfast you go Tirana airport.
